Jorvar operates in Ghana and intends to handle personal information in accordance with applicable Ghanaian data-protection requirements, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), where applicable.

Depending on how you use Jorvar, we may collect the following categories of information.

1.3 Voice Recordings
Jorvar provides voice ordering.
When you choose to use this feature, we may collect and temporarily process your voice recording to understand and process your order.
Voice recordings are retained for no longer than 8 hours after they are created.
After the applicable 8-hour period, the voice recording is automatically deleted from Jorvar's systems, subject to limited technical backups or circumstances where retention is required by applicable law.
Jorvar does not intend to retain voice recordings indefinitely.
The voice recording may be converted into text or other order information. Information generated from the voice recording may be retained separately where necessary for legitimate business purposes, including:
- Processing your order;
- Providing customer support;
- Resolving disputes;
- Maintaining transaction records;
- Preventing fraud;
- Improving the Platform; and
- Complying with legal obligations.
The deletion of the voice recording does not necessarily mean that all information derived from it is immediately deleted.
1.4 Location Information
Where necessary and where you provide the relevant permissions, Jorvar may collect location information to:
- Determine delivery locations;
- Help vendors or delivery personnel locate customers;
- Provide order tracking;
- Improve delivery services; and
- Provide location-related Platform functionality.

3.Voice Ordering
Voice ordering is an optional feature.
You can order using voice, typing, or click-to-order functionality.
When you use voice ordering, the Platform may:
- Receive your voice recording;
- Temporarily store the recording;
- Process the recording;
- Convert the spoken request into text or structured order information;
- Use the resulting information to prepare your order; and
- Delete the voice recording after no more than 8 hours.
Voice recordings may be processed through authorized third-party technology providers where necessary to provide the voice-ordering service.
Jorvar will take reasonable steps to ensure that such providers process information in accordance with applicable contractual and legal requirements.
4.Why We Collect Voice Recordings
The primary purpose of collecting and temporarily processing a voice recording is to provide the voice-ordering functionality requested by the customer.
Voice recordings may also be temporarily processed for:
- Order verification;
- Troubleshooting;
- Customer support;
- Fraud prevention;
- Security;
- Service reliability; and
- Compliance with applicable legal requirements.
We will not retain the voice recording longer than necessary for these purposes, subject to the stated maximum retention period and lawful exceptions.
5.How Long We Keep Your Information
Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
Voice recordings
Maximum ordinary retention period: 8 hours.
Voice recordings are automatically deleted after the applicable 8-hour period.
Order and transaction information
Order and transaction information may be retained for longer because it may be necessary for:
- Accounting;
- Tax;
- Customer support;
- Refunds;
- Dispute resolution;
- Fraud prevention;
- Business records; and
- Legal or regulatory requirements.
Account information
Account information may be retained while your account remains active and for an appropriate period afterward where necessary for legitimate business, legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Opting out of promotional communications does not necessarily stop essential service communications.

Jorvar takes reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against:
- Unauthorized access;

- Misuse;
- Alteration;
- Disclosure;
- Destruction; and
- Other unauthorized processing.
However, no internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Customers should also protect their passwords, devices, and account credentials.

If Jorvar becomes aware of a personal-data security incident, we will assess the incident and take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable law.
Where legally required, Jorvar may notify affected individuals and/or relevant authorities.

Jorvar is not intended to encourage children to independently enter into transactions without appropriate parental or guardian involvement.

14.Voice Recording Deletion Requests
Because Jorvar's ordinary voice-recording retention period is no more than 8 hours, a voice recording may already have been automatically deleted by the time a customer submits a request.
Where the recording still exists within the applicable retention period, customers may contact Jorvar to request information concerning its processing, subject to applicable law.
Information derived from the voice recording, such as an order or transcription, may be retained separately where there is a lawful reason to retain it.
15.International Data Processing
Some technology providers used by Jorvar may process information outside Ghana.
Where personal information is transferred or processed outside Ghana, Jorvar will take reasonable steps to ensure that applicable data-protection requirements are considered and appropriate safeguards are used where required.
16.Third-Party Websites and Services
Jorvar may contain links to third-party websites or services.
Jorvar is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties.
Customers should review the privacy policies of third-party services before providing them with personal information.

Jorvar may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
Where significant changes are made, Jorvar may provide notice through the Platform, email, notification, or another reasonable method.
